Purgatorio
To ascend from the shadows to light, long was the way… and hard.
Her first midnight stroked humility, first sin purged and charred.
Seeking askance not to envy or wish harm, a permanent benevolence.
Remaining meek in each other’s embrace, the kisses our prevalence.
Spurred to action by intense passion,
Due diligence our only fashion.
Immaterial concerns plant no seed,
Nor want for modernity’s greed.
Temperance purged, dare to wake –
So allow us then… to eat cake.
Ascending that last ledge, one lustful, no Chastity tale.
May I stay on top of this mountain, Mount of Purgatory.
This was Cassandra’s gift: sacred Trinity, the Holy Grail.
May I see her there dancing, together we write the story.
